Frequently Asked Questions

The Confidential Help Form is for NUS students and staff affected by sexual misconduct, or for someone who knows of an NUS student or staff affected by sexual misconduct, to seek help and advice.

A trained care professional would attend to your form by the next working day to provide further help and advice.

The Confidential Help Form may request for your name, matriculation number or staff ID, and/or other relevant personal particulars to facilitate work or referral.

The care professional may schedule an appointment for you to gather relevant information and explore how best to meet your needs in a safe and supportive environment.

Your privacy is important to us.

The care professional will protect all personal data and information, subject to limits of confidentiality.

  1. It is not available to non-NUS students or staff.
  2. It is not tantamount to lodging a formal report with the Campus Emergency & Security (CES), Office of Risk Management and Compliance (ORMC), and/or the Police.
  3. It is not a helpline for legal advice.
