Client Services

NCU provides coordinated end-to-end care to NUS students and staff affected by sexual misconduct through a variety of channels and services.

Information & Help

Consult us for information on the reporting, investigation, and adjudication processes, and/or support options related to sexual misconduct.

Needs Assessment

We actively assess your needs and preferences to provide client-centric care, whenever possible. 

Safety Planning

We can co-develop plans and strategies with you to mitigate threats. This includes deconflicting your timetable with the other party.

Triage & Referral

We engage in a trauma-informed manner and can render psychological first aid. We can also facilitate referrals to relevant on- and off-campus services.

Accompaniment

We can accompany you to medical, investigation and adjudication appointments both on- and off-campus.

Practical Support

We can facilitate various administrative requests such as requests to change your on-campus housing, for additional financial aid, or for academic support.

NCU's Services at Critical Points

1. Time of Incident

(i) Timely on-site support

2. Investigation

(i) Accompaniment to on- & off-campus investigation interviews
(ii) Accompaniment to medical facilities
(iii) Request for updates & follow-up

3. Adjudication

(i) Accompaniment to internal and external disciplinary hearings
(ii) Request for updates & follow-up

4. Post-Adjudication

(i) Continued emotional & practical support
(ii) Implementation of No-Contact Order (NCO)

NCU is not involved in the investigation and sanctioning process.

For disciplinary cases involving NUS students
The Campus Emergency & Security (CES) conducts investigation and the Office of Student Conduct (OSC) oversees the adjudication procedures in NUS.

For disciplinary cases involving NUS staff
The Office of Risk Management and Compliance (ORMC) conducts investigation and the Office of Human Resources (OHR) oversees the adjudication procedures in NUS.
