  1. Teams should comprise of 2 to 5 members.
  2. We highly recommend having expertise representation in the team, ranging from participants with experience with tabletop games and/or the theme to participants with no experience/knowledge, and with varying skillsets (e.g., artistic skills, narrative writing).
  3. You may approach our friendly mentors of varying expertise with guidance, if needed.
  4. The event is only open to NUS students and staff. This includes students and staff from Duke-NUS and Yale-NUS.
  5. For participants who are NUS students:
    • You must be a current student of NUS. If you are due for graduation but have not been conferred your degree, you may still participate in the event. The Game Jam is not open to alumni.
    • Exchange students can participate, but there must at least be 1 full-time NUS student in the team. This is to allow for the continuity of the proposed idea, such as when your team’s game has been shortlisted for further playtesting and development.
  6. Teams may consist of a combination of NUS students and staff.
  7. Participants who feel like they do not know much about *the theme* can still participate. What’s important is being open to learn about the subject matter, as well as taking care to approach it in a respectful and sensitive manner. There will be opportunities during the event to learn more about it.
  1. Join the Game Jam’s Microsoft Teams page for announcements, updates and discussions.

  3. The Jam will kick off on 20 Jun 2022.
You must submit your entry by 30 Jun 2022, 5 PM. The Showcase will take place on 1 Jul 2022 (platform TBC).
Judging will commence thereafter, from 2 Jun.
  4. You may submit your tabletop game either in physical or digital form.
  5. You are free to use any assets you’ve created and/or 3rd party assets.
    • If you are using 3rd party assets, it is your responsibility to ensure that they are legal to use. The Game Jam is NOT responsible if any team breaches copyright terms of asset usage.
  6. You are welcome to use tools such as Tabletop SimulatorTabletopia, or playingcards.io if you wish to design and submit your tabletop game digitally.
